William “Billy” Miles, a member of Gregory Doyle’s Trusts & Estates and Litigation Practice Groups, has extensive experience representing both private and government employers throughout the country in litigation matters under federal and state statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Pay Act. Mr. Miles has defended employers in all
types of employment litigation from single plaintiff cases to class action lawsuits.
Although he specializes in employment litigation, Mr. Miles also has handled a variety of other litigation matters, including real estate disputes, trust and estate litigation, theft of trade secrets, violation of non-compete agreements, and business matters.
Beyond his experience in litigation matters, Mr. Miles routinely provides advice to employers about the practical and legal implications of everyday employment decisions, including implementing effective workplace policies and practices, disciplining and terminating employees, conducting sensitive workplace investigations and payroll audits, and preventing discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in the workplace.
