William “Billy” Miles, a member of Gregory Doyle’s Education and Employment Law Practice Groups, has extensive experience representing both private and government employers throughout the country in litigation matters under federal and state statutes, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the Equal Pay Act. He regularly writes employment-related articles for the Cobb Business Journal and other local newspapers.
Mr. Miles has tried several cases to verdict and argued numerous motions in both federal and state courts.
Prior to joining Gregory Doyle, he worked at the largest labor and employment firm in the country, served as a senior prosecutor with the Fulton County District Attorneys’ Office, and served as an assistant county attorney with the Fulton County Attorneys’ Office.
Mr. Miles is heavily involved in the American Bar Association, the Georgia Bar and the Marietta Community. He is a 2012 graduate of the Leadership Academy of the Georgia Bar’s Young Lawyers Division. In 2009 and 2015, Mr. Miles was named as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers Magazine. Only the 2.5 percent of lawyers in Georgia make this list.
