Joseph D. Shelley

Joe Shelley, a member of Gregory Doyle’s litigation practice, represents clients across a broad spectrum of legal matters. His practice focuses on general liability defense and commercial litigation. He has litigation experience in Georgia state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels.

Mr. Shelley has experience defending business owners in cases involving claims of premises liability and general negligence. He has represented general contractors and subcontractors in construction litigation cases and has represented clients in business disputes involving contract interpretation, trade secret claims, and employment disputes. Mr. Shelley has litigated matters on behalf of both individuals and corporations.

Notable Client Highlights

Some of Mr. Shelley’s recent notable client highlights include:

    • Successfully representing a software development company in a trade secret action in the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.
    • Winning Summary Judgement for a retailer in a premises liability action and having that decision upheld by the Georgia Court of Appeals.
    • Successfully representing several national retailers through all stages of civil litigation, including Summary Judgement and negotiation of favorable settlements.
